Yahoo Finance (primary)

Quotes, fundamentals, search, charts, and ETF screener data via the unofficial yahoo-finance2 library. Typically delayed ~15 minutes or end-of-day. May break if Yahoo changes endpoints.

SEC EDGAR (US equities)

Official XBRL company facts for Piotroski F-Score, Altman Z-Score, and 5-year CAGR. US tickers without exchange suffix only.

NSE India (ETF fallback)

When Yahoo returns no India ETFs, we use NSE’s public /api/etf feed for price, returns, and turnover. AUM and expense ratio are not available from this feed.

Freshness

Responses include a meta.fetchedAt timestamp. During provider outages, cached data may be served with meta.stale: true.

Rate limits

API rate limits are enforced per server instance (free-tier design), not globally across all servers. Heavy screening is capped at 60 stocks per request. If you receive HTTP 429, wait for the Retry-After period shown in the UI.

Shared cache

Popular universe screens and US ETF lists may be served from a Vercel KV cache (warmed on weekday mornings via cron). Responses include meta.fromShared: true when served from shared cache.
